Patrick Ackerman
PGA Class-A Head Professional
I’m a dedicated golf professional with a deep passion for junior development and community-centered coaching. Born and raised in Snohomish, Washington, I grew up surrounded by the game and the people who shaped my early love for golf. Today, I channel that same hometown inspiration into helping players of all ages learn, grow, and enjoy the sport.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a coaching style rooted in patience, communication, and positive reinforcement. I believe that every player learns differently, and I work carefully to create individualized paths for improvement—whether I’m coaching a brand-new junior golfer, a motivated competitive player, or an adult looking to refine their fundamentals. My lessons emphasize long-term skill development, confidence building, and fostering a true enjoyment of the game.
What drives me most is the opportunity to grow the game in the same community that raised me. I view teaching golf as more than a profession—it’s a way to contribute to the next generation, build lasting relationships, and help the sport continue to thrive in Snohomish. Whether I’m coaching on the range, designing a new junior program, or cheering on one of my players at their first tournament, I bring a genuine commitment to helping golfers succeed on and off the course.
As a U.S. Kids Certified Coach, I’ve built a strong reputation for creating fun, engaging, and development-focused programs that meet juniors where they are. I’ve spent more than ten years working with The First Tee of Greater Seattle, helping introduce the game to new youth golfers and instilling the life skills and values that make the sport so meaningful. My leadership experience includes growing and managing junior golf programs at Glendale Country Club, White Horse Golf Club, Puetz Golf, and most recently at Snohomish Valley Golf Center.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy playing competitive golf, staying connected with the Snohomish community, and continuing my own learning as both a coach and a player. My mission remains simple: to help every student—especially young golfers—discover their potential and fall in love with the game just as I once did.
